Over the last 2 weeks, I have been listening to daily sessions in a tele-summit for women entrepreneurs that I’ve been invited to. Every day I receive an interview with a woman entrepreneur who speaks about her personal path and success story. I must confess that at the beginning, I was not very keen to follow the sessions, but as I started listening every day, it became an addiction. I feel that I am feeding my mind good stuff which was making a shift in my mindset. It is always worth making changes to your mindset because your mindset determines your health and success.

What I liked most is that variety in background and expertise among the guests which allows me to learn different things and see different perspectives of one topic. I found it very helpful to listen to other women entrepreneurs who can feel your sufferings and challenges and whom you can relate to each of them in a certain way. There were also certain rules for success that they all agreed upon. These included defining your purpose in life, visualizing your goal and having the right mindset to pursue your dream. One thing that most of the guests pointed to and really touched me was being authentic or being yourself.

Setting your goal and visualizing it is a very important part of success that most of us do not spend enough time doing.

I have learnt about an interesting tool for doing this which is creating a vision board. It is a fun and effective tool that you can try today at home. You just need a card board paper, some magazines, a scissors and glue.

Just pick the picture that you like or feel a connection to and sick it to your vision board. And voila you have your vision board that you can look at all the time to help you visualize your goals.

Another thing is the power of the right mindset for success. I think it is a crucial element for achieving any goal in life including your career, your health or whatever you want to achieve in life. I find it so important with my weight loss clients as well as chronic disease clients on a long healing program.

We all have limiting beliefs that we might be aware or not aware of, that often times sabotage our efforts to change and leave us feeling disappointed or guilty.

These are the voices in your mind that keep telling you that you can’t do something or don’t have the time or money to do it.

I liked one coach calling it “head trash”.  This head trash is the cause of your fears, worries and doubts and is one of the biggest success inhibitors.

The first step to work on your limiting beliefs and fears is to recognize them.

This usually requires some self-work as they might be related to events in our past and childhood. There are many ways of dealing with these blocks which include-but not limited to-energy work, emotional freedom technique (EFT) and neuro-linguistic programming (NLP).

I like to use EFT and teach it to my clients and it always works very well. EFT works not only for fears and beliefs but also for almost any emotion or physical feeling you want to get rid of. It is called emotional acupuncture as it depends on releasing energy blocks by tapping on specific energy points in the body that correspond to energy meridians.

What is awesome about EFT is that once you learn it, you can do it yourself anywhere and anytime. Interestingly, one of my friends uses it for getting over her migraine attacks and is finding it effective. If you are interested in EFT, let me know and I’ll send you more resources on that.

You might wonder what does all this has to do with health and nutrition.

As a holistic health expert, I believe that we can only achieve optimum health through adopting a healthy mindset and emotions as well as a healthy physical body.

Science has already proven that our thoughts are the most powerful tool we own to change our DNA blueprint and physical body health. Our thoughts change our emotions and our emotions change our body chemistry, which in turn changes our genes. They can literally either heal us or make us sick.

Back to You

Always remember that your thoughts will become beliefs, your beliefs will become habits and your habits define who you are.

So start changing who you are both mentally and physically by deciding what to think.

We are currently offering tele-health coaching via Zoom, so we can help you if you are out of area. If you need help with your health and nutrition, sign up for a 15 Min Discovery Call where we discuss your current goals and concerns and how we can help you.
