Can you believe we are only 10 days away from the New Year? This was so fast. It’s a good time to reflect on what you’ve achieved in 2014 and set goals or resolutions for the New Year.

For me 2014 was a year of growth on the personal, spiritual and business levels. There were good moments and sad moments but I can definitely say that I have learned a lot this year.

One of the most important things I’ve realized is that we are in charge of our lives and that whatever is happening to us is our choice. Unless we plan our lives and take action, someone else will do. Taking heart centered actions in your life will have a transformational outcome on your life in all aspects including physical, mental and emotional wellness.

Do you believe that your heart is more intelligent than your mind? Yes the wisdom of the heart has been scientifically proven. It is that momentary and intuitive feeling that you get when you think about someone or something.

If you are a logical person, you might have a tendency to disregard your intuition and go directly to your analytical mind.

If you are an intuitive person, you might find it easier to trust your intuition. And if you are like me, a combination of both, you will have faith in your intuition but you have to find the logical reasons for your feeling before taking a decision.

I want to share with you a very simple technique that you can use whenever you have to make a decision especially if there is a struggle between your heart and your mind. I have personally used it and it’s amazing.

So here it is: Just think about this matter in your head, then go to your heart, breathe deeply into your heart, then imagine a loved one. Then bring that matter that you were thinking about in your heart. See how you feel. Are you contracted or expanded? After this go back to your head and bring that matter into your head and ask your mind: what do I have to do?

Another thing that I have been working on is emotional fitness. This is a term I’ve heard from Tony Robins and I liked it. It’s having the skill to bounce back from negative emotions such as fear, stress, overwhelm, anger, frustration and sadness. These are all normal human emotions that you have to honor however if you are working towards a goal they can sabotage your efforts and delay your success.

Releasing those negative emotions requires continuous work thus having the tools to help you bounce back quickly and gracefully is a very good idea.

One of the tools that I use on a daily basis are prayer and meditations. These are very helpful tools to fight stress, fear and frustration. I’ve been practicing meditation daily for a year now and I can tell it has helped me to markedly reduce my stress and increase my creativity. Whenever I am thinking about a new project or a blog post I usually meditate and it helps clear my mind and get ideas flowing.

Exercises to release energy blocks and rebalance your energy centers or chakras have also proven very useful in increasing my energy and keeping me balanced and grounded. These exercises include specific yoga poses, tapping on specific energy points, stretching, visualizations and more.

As a thinker and an intuitive person, I carry my strength in my upper chakras, so I tend to be a little ungrounded and these exercises help by strengthening my lower chakras and balancing my energy.

The world of energy medicine and chakra balancing is a fascinating world and it truly has its tangible effects on the mind, body and spirit health. I have a chakra balancing program coming soon in 2015, so stay tuned if this is of interest to you.

My personal goals for 2015 are to keep working on personal growth. This doesn’t mean I want to be perfect but rather to accept my imperfections (which is really hard).

My business goals are to spread the word about the powerful effects of holistic nutrition and to be able to help more people transform their health and lives in a profound way by adopting a holistic lifestyle.

I am also looking forward to expanding my services to include transformational packages that will provide you with a proven step-wise signature system that I’ve used with so many clients to help them reach their health goals in an effortless and fun way.

Lastly, I am so grateful for every one of you who are supporting me by sharing my blog posts, reading my emails or telling a friend about my work to helping me spread my message.

Wishing you a happy holiday season, a merry Christmas to you celebrating and a prosperous and healthy year to come.

I’d love to hear about your goals for 2015. Please feel free to share this with me in the comments below!
